Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the United States, yet they face a significant revenue gap compared to their white counterparts. In Chicago, Black Pages International (BPI) is working to address this disparity by providing targeted support and visibility to Black women-owned businesses.

BPI’s directory features a dedicated section for women-owned enterprises, increasing their visibility to potential customers and partners. This targeted promotion helps drive traffic and revenue to these businesses, contributing to closing the revenue gap. Moreover, BPI organizes networking events and workshops specifically for Black women entrepreneurs, creating spaces for knowledge sharing, mentorship, and collaboration.

To address the unique challenges faced by Black women entrepreneurs, BPI partners with local organizations to offer tailored resources. These include access to women-focused investment groups, mentorship programs pairing established businesswomen with up-and-coming entrepreneurs, and workshops on navigating gender and racial biases in business settings.
